Cusco – Ollantaytambo – Train to Aguas Calientes
Your experience begins with a pickup from your hotel in Cusco. After meeting your transportation, we’ll travel toward the train station while enjoying beautiful views of the Sacred Valley, Andean villages, farmlands, mountains, and the Urubamba River.
Once you arrive at the train station, you will board your train to Aguas Calientes, also known as Machu Picchu Pueblo. During the journey, you will enjoy one of the most scenic train routes in Peru, surrounded by mountains, rivers, and changing landscapes as you travel from the Andes into the cloud forest.
Depending on your booking option and availability, your train service may be the Expedition, Vistadome, Vistadome Observatory, or another confirmed service.
Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, our team will assist you according to your service arrangement. You’ll have time to check in at your hotel and relax. In the afternoon, you can explore the town, visit the local market, enjoy the peaceful atmosphere surrounded by mountains, or rest before your visit to Machu Picchu the following day.

Hotel - Machu Picchu – Expedition Train - Cusco
After breakfast at your hotel, you will take the bus from Aguas Calientes to the entrance of Machu Picchu. Your guide will assist you with the entry process according to the schedule and tour route assigned to your ticket.
Inside the citadel, you’ll enjoy a guided tour along the official Machu Picchu circuit included in your reservation. Your guide will explain the history, architecture, temples, terraces, sacred spaces, and the incredible engineering of the Inca civilization.
Depending on the assigned route, you may visit different areas of Machu Picchu. Some routes focus more on panoramic viewpoints and classic photo spots, while others offer closer access to temples, terraces, and ceremonial areas. Your guide will help you understand the significance of each site and make the most of your visit.
After the guided tour, you will return by bus to Aguas Calientes, where you will have free time depending on your train schedule. You can enjoy lunch, explore the town, buy souvenirs, or relax before boarding your return train.
At the scheduled time, you’ll take the train back toward Cusco. Upon arrival at the train station, our transportation will be waiting to take you back to your hotel.
The tour ends with a drop-off near your hotel or at a central location in Cusco.
